2000 Dodge Durango recall

List of safety recalls issued in November and December 2000 by National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for Dodge Durango cars manufactured in June
1999 - October 2000 urged consumers to report the problems for fixing and correction.
Problems include non-compliance with the requirements of Federal Motor June 1999
- October 2000 Vehicle Safety Standard No. 225 on Child Restraint Anchorage Systems.
Some of the instruction manuals have missing pages for proper attachment of the
child restraint system's tether strap to the tether anchorage which may result
to high risk of injury in the event of a crash. To solve the defect, owners were
given addendum to the owner's manuals. Notification reports of owners began in
Nov. 12, 2000 Another recall shows needed replacement of 2000 Dodge Durango headlights
with new low-beam headlamps to prevent car crash by giving better light to see
overhead road signs.
